Ask The Stylist Haircuts For Men

Sandra asks…

Stylish, affordable haircuts for men in the Mission Valley/Hotel Circle area of San Diego?

Please recommend a place for men‘s haircuts in the Hotel Circle/Mission Valley area. I am looking for a good place for young professionals in their early 20’s that enjoy going out, but also need a good look for the office. Last point, it can’t be too expensive.

Let me know if you have a suggestion! Thanks!

I’m looking for good website for men haircuts photos?

I’ve been looking in everywhere but I didn’t find what I want.

The Stylist answers:

If you get a chance. Call you hair salon that you go too. Ask them if you can sit down & look at some of their hair magazines or books.

That way they know you & it won’t be ackward.

Lisa asks…

How serious is the army about soldiers haircuts (for men)?

if you go a week or two without a haircut are they really anal about it?
thanks fo all your informational answers! Appreciate it!

The Stylist answers:

I have noticed it depends on your field of work, I notice alot of non-combat arms guys get away with having longer hair on the sides, but us in the combat arms are pretty anal about. I get a haircut every week and expect my soldiers to also. Your appearance is the first thing people notice about you, no matter how good you are at your job or how smart you are, they will judge you on how squared away your appearance is first. It shows your discipline and attention to detail, and it can take you far.

The Difference Between Men and Women

Women’s Version:

Woman 2: Oh! You got a haircut! That’s so cute!

Woman 1: Do you think so? I wasn’t sure when she gave me the mirror. I
mean, you don’t think it’s too fluffy looking?

Woman 2: Oh Gosh no! No, it’s perfect. I’d love to get my hair cut like
that, but I think my face is too wide. I’m pretty much stuck with this
I’m afraid.

Woman 1: Are you serious? I think your face is adorable. And you could
easily get one of those layer cuts–that would look so cute I think. I was
actually going to do that except that I was afraid it would accent my long
Woman 2: Oh–that’s funny! I would love to have your neck! Anything to take
attention away from this two-by-four I have for a shoulder line.

Woman 1: Are you kidding? I know girls that would love to have your
shoulders. Everything drapes so well on you. I mean, look at my arms–see
how short they are? If I had your shoulders I could get clothes to fit me
so much easier.

Men‘s Version:

Man 2: Haircut?

Man 1: Yeah

Mary asks…

Which salon gives a better quality haircut: Knockouts Haircuts for Men or SportClips?

Also, how much should I tip? $5?

The Stylist answers:

Neither, it all depends on the person that provides the service to you. All hair dressers need to meet state qualifications to receive their cosmetology license and so they all have to meet the same standards. Instead of going to these places which can charge up to $50 US dlrs. Why not go to some place that charges much less and use the left over cash for the tip and then catch some grub! LOL Good luck!
